Back in Philly may DeAndre Jordan be, he’s buying real estate in Los Angeles. The NBA center recently closed on a five-bedroom, seven-bath contemporary modern-style; the house changed hands for $8.5 million.

The three-level residence is located in a sweet spot, with Brentwood Park on one side and the Palisades Riviera on the other. It was completed last year, making Jordan the first owner.

The interior spaces feature some rather dressy design details; in the kitchen, a composition of intersecting perpendicular marble island and hardwood breakfast table is surrounded by hardwood accents, LED-backlit floating shelves, and an imposing floor-to-ceiling bank of black-stained cabinetry.

Pocketing glass walls open the home to its oasis-like pool area, with the living room featuring a corner glass installation, always a nice touch. Amenities include five suites, a catering/prep kitchen, a fire pit, a basement with a waterfall bar, theater and wine cellar, and an outdoor kitchen.
