Italian brand Vitelli has collaborated with fashion house Collina Strada to make two “100% regenerated” fabrics exclusively for their Spring Summer 2023 Collection held at New York Fashion Week. The two new fabrics are part of DOOMBOH® by Vitelli, the “regenerative” line that the Italian brand produces by reweaving waste yarn from the Italian knitting industry (100% reclaimed yarn). The new Lace and Warp fabrics will also be featured in the Vitelli’s SS23 collection during Milan Fashion Week.
The SS23 Vitelli X Collina Strada collaboration showed in New York at the Brooklyn Greenway, with a series of crop-tops, sweaters and dresses made with exclusive fabrics produced entirely in Northern Italy thanks to two new regenerative techniques developed by Vitelli: DOOMBOH®Warp, knitting yarns worked in warp to give life to a hybrid and “chunky” fabric; DOOMBOH®Lace, a thin cotton knitting yarn worked in macramé to give life to a delicate floral “lace.” – from Vitelli
DOOMBOH® by Vitelli fabrics are ISO-compliant, based on a LCA report (Life Cycle Assestment) that allows the entire production chain to be traced starting with the waste (deadstock) yarns that constitute the raw material for the entire Vitelli production. – from Vitelli
