Integrators can also enjoy a walkthrough of its highly popular tour trailer.

“There’s never been a better time for installers to be in the residential AV industry as demand for smart home systems surges globally,” said Jackie Haffey, senior channel marketing manager, residential at Legrand AV.

“At CEDIA Expo 2022, visitors will see multiple vignettes set up at our booth where they can experience how all our brands come together flawlessly in multiple applications, including home theatre, infrastructure, networking and home office.”

Home cinema & media rooms

At the show, the company will be revealing Da-Lite’s new cable-drop feature, SightLine, a unique home cinema offering that is available with Da-Lite’s tried-and-true Tensioned Advantage electric screen to give the impression of a floating screen. A suspension system is packed into the electric screen’s single-roller design, featuring three or four cables that are virtually undetectable when lowered and that eliminates the unsightly black border above the projection screen.

It also makes installations faster and easier as installers no longer have to measure and specify drop distance when ordering as the cables allow the screen to be adjusted to any drop distance, up to 70” between the ceiling and top of the screen.

Additionally, Da-Lite will also showcase its alternative to challenging wires screen installations with the Tensioned Designer Contour with Agility Battery Motor, which provides all the benefits of an electric screen but the flexibility of wire-free installation. It is available in diagonals up to 110” in 16:9 HDTV format and 113” in 16:10 wide format and up to 16K-ready screen surfaces.

The screen is ideal for no-fuss installations or where flexibility is required to retrofit historic homes or environments where wiring electricity is prohibitive. The lithium-ion battery lasts over 200 cycles on a single charge via micro-USB port and can be operated with a wireless handheld remote.

Also on display in the home cinema and media room category will be the SANUS VLT7 Advanced Tilt 4D Premium TV wall mount, designed to provide flexible viewing options for large flat screens and representing a new level of advanced tilt technology. With 6.8” of extension, it allows even the largest TVs to be tilted in four different directions without limitations, not only up and down but also left and right. The extension offers a larger tilt range, eliminating the problem of large TVs installed on traditional tilting mounts from hitting the wall.

SANUS will also address today’s wireless audio trends with its WSS52 Sonos Five and Sonos PLAY:5 stand, and WSSATM1 Extendable Soundbar TV mount designed for the Sonos Arc Soundbar. The SANUS WSS52 securely holds the Sonos Five or Sonos PLAY:5 in either vertical or horizontal orientation in an anodised aluminium design that complements the modern look of the speaker while placing it at an ideal heigh. To match the Sonos Five, it is available in black or white.

Installers can complete the seamless look with the Press Fit cable management technology which secures and conceals cables down the back of the stand. Designed in partnership with Sonos, the SANUS WSSATM1 Soundbar Bracket for Sonos Arc is compatible with and attaches directly to most TV mounts from other brands, including full-motion mounts to move the TV and speaker together, for a seamless look that only takes 15 minutes to set up.

While on the subject of hidden wires, installers will appreciate being able to level up the organisation of their cables and devices with new options for On-Q enclosures, including the new Forward Keyhole Post Clips and Small Device Mounting Clamps, both being showcased at the show. They are both designed using Forward Technology for quick and easy installation.

On-Q will also demonstrate its 9” and 17” Dual-Purpose In-Wall Enclosures, designed to provide in-wall storage of AV devices behind mounted TVs or for structured wiring organisation and distribution in new construction and retrofit installations. They are engineered from Wi-Fi transparent material for uninterrupted control of entertainment devices stored inside. They also include generous knockouts for cable management and power and an enclosure cover, trim, ring, and drywall clips.

Middle Atlantic Products will be showing its power and rack solutions. Featuring six surge-protected outlets, with three connected to a battery backup system, the Structured Wiring UPS UPS-SC600 is an ideal compact solution for protecting electronics during a power loss or surge event. Leveraging Middle Atlantic’s two decades of AV expertise, NEXSYS combines power distribution and power backup into one comprehensive, reliable power platform for AV systems. In addition, Middle Atlantic’s racks will be on display in the McIntosh Labs sponsored sound room.
