Nolensville's path to the United States Championship in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, has gotten a little more difficult.

Taking on a powerhouse team from Honolulu out of the West Region, Nolensville struggled to keep up with the Hawaii bats losing 13-0 in four innings Wednesday and moved to the losers bracket final on the U.S. side.

Nolensville played Southwest Region's Pearland, Texas on Thursday (6 p.m. CT, ESPN) for a spot in the United States Championship game against Hawaii on Saturday (ABC, 2:30 p.m.).

Two of Nolensville's three wins entering the day were decided by three runs or less including an extra-inning win over Indiana in the quarterfinals. Honolulu's wins were all decided by six runs or more including a pair of blowout victories in the first two games where they outscored their opponents 23-0.

Against Nolensville, Honolulu struck early and often.

Nolensville went down in order in the top of the first inning. Honolulu's Kekoa Payanal sent the first pitch he saw from Nash Carter over the center field fence.

Carter struck out the next batter he faced but Honolulu quickly loaded the bases and Cohen Sakamoto cleared them with a grand slam to center giving Honolulu a five-run lead after the first inning.

Nolensville recorded a pair of hits in the second matching total number of hits Honolulu had allowed for the entire tournament but stranded both runners. Honolulu added more runs in the second on a two-run home run by Daly Watson and a solo shot to center Sakamoto for his second of the game.

The runs kept coming for Honolulu in the third inning as Kama Angell sent another ball over the center field wall. Honolulu tacked on a few more runs in inning to seal the win.
