Lughnasadh celebration set in Edwardsville Sunday

EDWARDSVILLE – Members of Grove of the Gathering Waters, ADF will gather at 1445 Eberhart Ave., in Edwardsville for a Lughnasadh High Day Celebration from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, July 31.

Lughnasadh or Lughnasa is a Gaelic festival marking the beginning of the harvest season. Historically, it was widely observed throughout Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man. Lughnasadh is mentioned in some of the earliest Irish literature and has pagan origins.

Grove of the Gathering Waters, ADF is a congregation of Ár nDraíocht Féin that serves Pagans of the Metro East and St. Louis metropolitan areas.
